As many of you know, I have self published a book titled AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY-Searching for a cause and finding hope in the battle against ALS.

This is my self story of my battle with ALS, as diagnosed four years ago on July 11, 2013–the journey continues. This book is available to all with interest by simply e mailing me at PEOPLEofconstruction@gmail.com and saying “Hey Ron, would love a copy of your book, please mail to…and provide me with a mailing address.”

I ask for a $20.00 donation to my PEOPLE “non” organization for the purpose of covering the costs of the book and allowing me to continue my work with mentoring minority contractors. The donation also goes to make this book available for free to all those suffering with ALS or some other life threatening disease and that may not have the funds to blow on yet one more book. You can send this $20 donation, or whatever amount you may choose to donate, to PEOPLE of Construction, 646 Warrenton Drive, Kirkwood, MO 63122. Several have purchased through that method and at some point, I will need help from one of my awesome grandchildren to show me how to get it out of Pay Pal and into my pocket in some manner.

I have yet to make this book available through Amazon but am working on it. It is available for purchase at the Catholic Supply Store on Olive (across from Incarnate Word Church) and through Dr. Simon Yu’s office, Prevention and Healing, Schuetz Road (across from the JCCA at Schuetz and Page) and for those in the Kirkwood area, it is available through the Kirkwood Library on Taylor–at least I think they are through their vetting process.

And, of course, I will make it available at all future PEOPLE meetings but promise not to bore you or pressure you into buying at those meetings—next one being Tuesday, August 8, at Hillsdale, by the way.

My intent with the book is to shine a light in the direction of the many forms of alternative medical treatments–as well as the power of diet–that is available for those with diseases that seem to have no answers within our standard medical profession. There is HOPE with all diseases and we all need that precious gift of HOPE. If you know someone that is losing HOPE or finds it difficult to hang on due to a diagnosis that seems to know no cause or cure, shoot me a message and I will send them my book. There is a cure for everything but believe me, the information is hard to find.

It is short and very simple to read and when complete you will most probably know more about me than you ever wanted to know.
